Since June 2008 I’ve been able to access statistics on my site visitors such as search terms used to get here and where they are from. To my surprise, I’ve had visitors from all of the continental United States except for Wyoming. This made me curious about Wyoming itself.Â
I had no idea about 48% of the land is owned by the US government in the form of parks, wildlife refuges and trails. The state bird is the colorful Western Meadowlark.  Cheyenne is the state capital and the home of the Wyoming Book Festival. I found a listing of over a dozen independently owned bookstores. Stop by any of them if you find yourself in Wyoming.
wow, that’s interesting that only residents of Wyoming have never made it to your site. I like the fact that you posted some great information about the state and its independent bookstores.
Thanks for the note, Serena. I thought maybe I had offended the entire state. With all those parks I think people are probably spending time there outdoors instead of reading. 🙂
