These statistics are all for short stories, poems, or contest entries. Book reviews are not included.

Pending responses include two poems to one market, a drabble under consideration at one market, a short story under consideration at another market, and an essay for a contest.  I did query the status of the poems with no result.  Unfortunately, I can’t control when people read and respond to emails.  At least I can take some comfort in knowing they are considered a “slothful” market.

The most exciting event from June was attending the workshop at the Greater Columbus Arts Council.  It fell a little bit outside of my comfort zone.  I really didn’t know who would be there, how to get there or what to expect.  It was energizing and opened my eyes to a few things around town I’d previously dismissed.  I need to trust my instincts a little more and touch base with other writers more often.
