Earlier this year one of my twitter friends was using the #ROW80 hashtag. She was participating in A Round of Words in 80 Days and giving links to her update posts. In addition to blog posts she was tweeting about it.
It was my plan to take part in the last round but I’m making to round 3 which starts on July 4th.
My goal is to write 10,000 words on my unfinished NaNo fantasy project from a few years ago. This year it’s gotten an outline, some revisions, and some new words. But it doesn’t have enough new words. It really needs to be complete before it can get a thorough revision.
Round 3 is my first time too! I made an itinerary on my blog and I’m working towards publishing my first book, CANCELLED.
Are you going to set up check points along the way? Like 2,000 words by July 27 or something? That will help you celebrate little successes and stay on track. But working towards 10,000 words by itself is probably going to be daunting.
This will be my first time too
Hope you don’t mind but I’m following
Hi Sandy, I don’t mind at all! Maybe we’ll be able to encourage each other along the way.
Elizabeth, you have a great idea about the rewards at milestones. I’ve regularly done that with NaNoWriMo but never any other writing challenge. Seems strange I didn’t think of it!
This is my first challenge also. I’m going to try and do 90,000 words because want a good first draft of my second novel
