Just in time for Book Blogger Appreciation Week I won two copies of You Must Remember This: The Warner Bros. Story by Richard Schickel and George Perry. I’m keeping one of these nice five pound coffee table books for my library and I’m giving the other one away to my readers! The book is a companion to a five part documentary to air on the PBS American Masters Series this fall.
This giveaway is open to any postal address in the United States or Canada. Simply leave a comment with the name of your favorite movie or screen legend between now and 11:59:59pm EST on 9/18/08. Good luck!
This sounds absolutely amazing! How generous of you to offer it up this week!! Thanks for the chance to win it.
Okay, my fave movie right now is Serenity. I just love Firefly and one of my favorite screen legends has to be the Duke, John Wayne. I remember watching his movies with my Dad and eating popcorn.
I would love to read this book! My favorite screen legend is Vivian Leigh. Thanks!
It’s hard for me to pick just one movie – two older movies I love are Gone With the Wind and Fiddler on the Roof and two newer movies I love are Annie Hall and When Harry Met Sally.
This would be the PERFECT gift for my husband. My favorite movie is Last of the Mohicans. Love it!
Wonderful and so very generous.
My favorite movie of all time has got to be Mary Poppins!!! Thanks for the chance to win
I have a hard time narrowing it down to just one movie so I share three of my faves: Field of Dreams, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and Gidget. My favorite screen legends are Jeanne Crain, Sandra Dee, Doris Day, Cary Grant, Harrison Ford, and many, many more. I love movies almost as much as I love books. LOL
My favorite movie isn’t the best movie I’ve ever seen, but it’s the one I could watch over and over again and never tire of – You’ve Got Mail with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. I own it on DVD and VHS, and still if it’s on tv, I end up flipping to it and will sit and watch it, commercials and all.

Oh, this looks wonderful. I’m horrible at picking a favorite movie…I guess I’ll give the same answer I gave the last time someone asked me this…and that would be Life as a House. It really is a wonderful movie with a lot of emotion.

Gotta go with Casablanca — fabulous movie. Also anything with the Marx Brothers, they were hysterical.
