During the last few months I’ve come across different book challenges on book reviewer blogs. Each one has a different premise and/or goal. I’ve come across a challenge that is nearly tailor made for me. It’s the Lit Flicks Challenge!Â
Here are some of the rules:
- Challenge runs from September 1, 2008 to February 28, 2009.
- Read 5 books/pieces of literature that have been made into movies.
- Then watch at least 2 of the movie adaptations of the works you read.
- The list may change at any time and may include overlaps with other challenges.
I’ve been looking at the lists and I’ve come up with my initial list of five books.Â
- The Good German
- Devil In a Blue Dress
- A Good Year
- The Name of The Rose
- Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen
I tried to pick a variety of books and one of these is even on my TBR pile. When I looked at the possible choices it was difficult to decide. In many cases I’d seen the corresponding movie or read the book once but had no desire to re-read it or watch the movie.
Wish me luck! I imagine I’ll be posting about the books I’ve read soon.
Amber, thanks for joining the Lit Flicks Challenge! I’m so excited to have you (and your list) on board. I love combining books and movies; I’ll be back to see your reviews. Welcome aboard!
Thanks, Jessica! It should be fun. I’ve had The Good German sitting on my coffee table for a week now. For some reason it intimidates me. I just read The Jane Austen Book Club so that may find a place in the challenge or be a bonus book. 🙂
